The love of painting began when I was a little girl and even before knew how to write. I was fascinated by Chinese calligraphy when I started to attend school, and then after the guidance of a neighbor’s big sister and I fell in love with painting more than before. My father’s friend introduced an artist to be my instructor and they taught me about calligraphy and Chinese painting.
A few years later, under the pressure of study and academics I had to stop painting. During this period of time, I read some art books and visited art exhibitions to enrich myself artistically. Shortly after I graduated from school I started working, I met several friends who liked photography. We often took trips to explore nature like the sea and mountains and took pictures together. This stimulated my observations of nature.
I dropped all my hobbies after I got married and had a baby. I was finally able to begin painting again after my child grew up and I re-started my passion of painting. I had instruction under some teachers for sketches, pastels, watercolors and oil paintings in order to fulfill my childhood dreams.
A career of painting is relaxing and joyful, and not for fame and fortune, just for me.
